April Meeting 2018

Hey hey, it's the 2nd Monday of the month and that means the Monthly S scale SIG meeting. Tonights theme was skills you have learned to achieve required results. The meeting started with the usual bring and show of course with thanks to contributors such as Cassidy Newland and Neil Blinco to name a few. Following this Bill Gray spoke about the tried and true methods he has used and learned to achieve different window effects on models. Next was Stewart McKay's demonstration of using photos for not only inspiration, but as a great reference tool for locating and recreating buildings as well as what he has learned in casting kits. Following that was Neil Blinco's demonstration of how to achieve the desired curve for roofs using styrene, jigs and a little hot water. Doug Firth followed that demonstration up with examples of his work as an expert using card and your average household items. All in all, a great meeting and a lot was learned and ideas developed for applications in other areas of modeling. It was a little difficult to capture everything that went on tonight because it was choc full of information but I do have a selection of photos below for you to enjoy.
