Christmas Message 2017

Hey hey, I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. May your holidays be full of love and joy and prayers for those who cannot spend today with their loved ones. For those traveling, take care and be safe. As I was always told, be good or good at it. Happy Modeling! 🎄

BE Cattle Wagon

A post on the WA Facebook group regarding chopper couplers reminded me about this model.
Quite a while ago when I was 15-16 years old I scratch built this BE cattle wagon, complete with NCDA choppers.
It was all styrene board by board construction, except the floor which was hand scribed both sides for the planks.
It was intended to be entered into the AMRA modelling competition at the time; the full underbody detail precluded adding weight, as such it did not run very well and it is also looking a bit worse for wear now.

The shiny patches are super glue from repairs and the some of the brake gear and wheels have corroded.

December Meeting 2017

Hey hey, the last S scale meeting for 2017 was a real show with close to (if not over) 40 members in attendance. Some great examples of modelling was on display and a bit of christmas cheer was generously provided by Trevor Burke, thank you. We also got a visit from Santa which was very unexpected. Apologies for the lack of photos tonight, for me it has been a long day but if I don't do this now, I won't remember in the morning so I apologise in advance if I miss captioned or didn't credit someone where credit is due. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, etc. and a Great New Year. Safe travels for those travelling over the break and I look forward to what new and exciting modeling has been done during the holidays at the January 2018 meeting. For now I'll leave you with some photos from tonight's meeting to provide you with inspiration. Take care.
