Hey hey, as part of the celebrations for 70 years of operation for the Australind train, Boyanup Transport Museum held a special open day as well as the release of a small book outlining the history of the culturally significant train. Thanks to Charles De Bruin and Bill Gray, the day was made even better with part of the Serpentine layout on display and a complete Australind set for the public to view. I thought I'd take the opportunity to take more photos than I usually would but I can't now remember which are mine and which aren't (sorry Charlie). Special thanks to Neil Blinco for lending his beautifully made X class models U class, Bill Gray for displaying his wonderfull Australind AYC cars and Graham Watson for lending his RailWest Models Wildflower set for the day. Please excuse the poor lighting, there was not much control being close to the door. But a great day was had by all and not a single derailment (thanks to the display being static only). ;-)
