January Running Night 2019

Hey hey, Happy Australia Day 2019! I hope you all have had as much fun today as I have. Fortunately this years running night did not coincide with Australia Day celebrations and has allowed more members to show up for the evening giving us a large variety of trains running. It is always very entertaining with more members and as it is much less formal than our SIG meetings, discussion can be explained in more detail. These nights are well worth the second visit to the clubrooms in a month if you can make it. For those that can't make it, do not fear as I will continue to photograph and record events throughout the year. For now, please enjoy what I have captured below.

January Meeting 2019

Hey hey, Happy New Year to everyone, I hope your break was enjoyable and safe. Its now 2019 and a whole new year of modeling is ahead of us. We start this year with another celebration, 30 years of WA S scale SIG meetings which we of course could not pass up the opportunity for more cake! Of course there was the usual bring and show combined with "What did Santa bring you?" and "what did you build over the holidays?" The meeting also included more slides and was very informative as always. I look forward to bringing you more from the S scale SIG here in WA as we dive head first into 2019. For now I'll leave you with these pics I took on the night.

Trevor Bourke continues to work away on his RailWest PM kit  as displayed here.

Neil Blinco has been busy of late with other projects outside of the S scale group but still found time to assemble this MRWA FA guards van using castings from Stuart MacKay.

Alan Penstone has followed Doug Firth in assembling one of the new RailWest GA open wagons as well as one of the GA Models ZA guard and passenger composite van.
